FEAR NO EVIL

“(A)Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, (B) fear will never conquer me, for you already have! You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way. Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near”. Psalms 23:4TPT

A new day is here! Welcome to the Fire Place blog. It has pleased God to open our understanding to one important way of life in His Kingdom. God is not only interested in showing us our inheritance and destination in Him here on earth as we defend His interest; He is also willing to show us “how” to walk our way into that destiny fulfillment.One important ingredient of how to move, is the working knowledge of our defense system; the awesome packages God already made to ensure we walk unharmed all through the situations of life. Sadly, these understanding is not one that is commonly gotten through our usual platforms of gaining knowledge about God. It is rather the kind that will only be released unto passionate and desperate lovers of God that are ready to go the extra miles in seeking the scarce truths needed to journey successfully through the hurdles of life in God.

Evil is a known trouble to all, feared and despised by all, yet it keeps finding its way into the affairs of men without fail. How are we to walk through evil without being afraid of negative outcomes? What are the provisions God already made for believers to conquer this? Here are questions we are here to get answers to, through this series. It is time to learn, unlearn and relearn the truths of God’s word as this fact is concerned. Get ready for the Fire Experience!

Fulfillment and greatness in heaven’s view is not measured in riches or life achievements, but rather the level of alignment of man to the eternal agenda of God expected to be captured in one’s lifetime.

The believer’s journey into destiny fulfillment always start with a strong doze of love portion and attention from God to man. It is no longer news that God is a good businessman. He knows how best to get the attention of everyone using different methods required in winning our interests to His precious side.  The dimensions of God’s love that becomes our reality in this early days of our relationship with Him include passion and pleasure. We get energized and gingered from within to just follow God; pray, do quiet time, attend fellowship meetings and just do God! Now, as the journey gets deeper and longer, God begins to open us up to means and series of life happenings that can build strength and capacity in us as we journey through life. It is this season that opens us up to what most people will love to refer to as “the reality of life”.

In this particular season, God won’t just come running to the believer’s cry for help for the tiniest need as He used to, while bringing us closer into His abode. This time around, God expects the believer to trust Him and also take up responsibilities about life and not just expect that miracles will happen every single day rather than get busy with necessary tasks. Still, as all of these go on, believers are still expected to keep staying close to God in relationship. We begin to learn the art and practice of prayer and studying of God’s word.

When we start being committed to the ways of God’s Kingdom and living responsible lives here on earth, we are establishing a track record of having started the growth process of living inside God’s will.

The third stage of our love journey with God sets in; which is Commitment. At this point, it is best to introduce us to the Passion Translation of Psalms 23:4. The first part of the verse read thus: “Lord, even when your path…”. It is important to understand that you must first be rooted inside God for you to experience the life of the Kingdom. You will only be able to journey through divine paths when you are on God’s side. It is only God’s direction and instructions that can lead a man into destiny fulfillment, nothing else! So, it is God’s path that must lead you into every season of life! God’s grip must be firm on every aspect of your life until it can be said that you are living in His will!

You must first be rooted inside God for you to experience the life of the Kingdom.

“Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness…”. This is our second point of discussion. The eternal paths of God will not only take man through planes of glory and splendor, rather it will also lead man to situations that will require man to demonstrate faith and total trust in God. Our Father did not promise us a journey that is trouble-free. The world of men is full of evil, all through the scriptures and modern history, there remains an ever increasing rate of penetration of evil in the affairs of man. The origin of this persistent evil is not far-fetched, it all came from satan. Since satan is known as the god of this world, believers must keep contending for Kingdom relevance and advancement at all cost! A land that is solely dominated by man needs not to be contended for, but Genesis 1:28a says: “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and replenish the earth, and subdue it…”. So, God already charged man to subdue the earth including satan and his operations on earth. The regenerated and renewed man will always have to war with appearances of evil perpetuated by the devil but only from the place of the established victory in Christ Jesus.

It is only God’s direction and instructions that can lead a man into destiny fulfillment, nothing else!

So, we must be ready to walk through the valley of darkness, we must be ready to pass through situations in which our faith will be stretched and our trust in God will be put to use! You will never know how strong you are until you have to contend with an opposition that poises threat to your peace! At all time, we believers must be willing to allow God lead us through whichever situation He so desires for us to walk through, knowing that it is part of why we are here and what we must address. It will always end to the Glory of His Name!

Furthermore, moving from this level of revelation, we must move to: “fear will never conquer me, for you already have!”. I specially love the passion translation of this verse as it spreads out the meaning of each word, giving us the privilege to meditate well on each line. It is normal for man to fret and shiver in the face of evil. No one loves bad occurrences and events that open man to risk and danger. Yet, the Psalmist speaking out of revelation of God’s love explained loudly why the fear of the reality of evil won’t consume him: the revelation of the person of God and His unwavering love! Every situation remains big until a greater opposite force steps into the situation. Whatever evil or situation that can ever happen to man only remains a threat until God steps into it! The highest of our mountains of trouble remains a tiny piece in the presence of the King of all Kings!

David understood this and ensured that he was already conquered by that revelation. This became his sure escape route out of every evil that would have appeared in His days. He was a man that was never defeated in battle all through his days on earth. Truly, fear could not conquer him for God already did! What is your own testimony?
