Remember our Series on Fear no Evil? and how we highlighted on understanding the purpose of challenges that come our way as believers and the greater goods embedded in them only if we will allow God to walk us through them and work on our inside to bring out His best in us. In this new series tagged “THE JOURNEY”, we shall be learning from the experiences of people in the faith as we journey through their life experiences and how they stayed through God’s processes in the pleasant and non-pleasant times of their lives. In this episode, we’d be journeying with OluwaFolakemi Yewande Fajingbesi our first guest minister, Get ready for the Fire Experience!
Q1. WHAT IS YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE BIBLE PASSAGE PSALM 23:4
I’d be using the TPT version of the Bible and according to the TPT I’ve come to the understanding that through the toughest of situations, phases and even tho in complete darkness , I will fear not because God is with me in the every season. Psalm 139:8 is a very deep verse and it shows God’s presence in every good and bad situation .
Q2. HOW CAN BELIEVERS RIGHTLY PREPARE AND POSITION THEMSELVES FOR THE DARK SEASONS OF LIFE
Jesus said dark seasons would happen ,and any SALVATION THAT EXEMPTS US FROM DARK SEASON’S IS SUGAR COATED. Jesus came to save us from eternal damnation, and give us strength for the troubles of this world.When we understand salvation we as believers will not be fickle or shaken or scared through dark seasons of life . Dark times would have you doubt the presence of the father but understanding true salvation enables you to remain on track.
The people of the Old Testament, named God after what he did for them ( Jehovah Jireh ,Nissi , Elohim) etc but we have our revelation of him as the full package and father. God is more than capable to save us during trying times ,but for the sake of building up,molding us he would extend those times to ensure we come out of those situations like gold and silver passed through fire which is thoroughly purified to get the best out of us and get us into our full stature and capacity in Christ.
To God the journey is as important as our destination .
Q3. PEOPLE TEND TO FORGET THE PERCEPTS OF GOD OVER THEM WHEN THEY ARE FACED WITH DIFFICULT CHALLENGES. WHAT IS YOUR VIEW ABOUT THIS?
It is in the human nature to be forgetful of kind and good deeds during times of disagreement or trouble . David, and his men in Ziklag,can be said to be a good example of how men react in the day of trouble because after years of building and enjoying they came back from war to find a devastating sight . David,encouraged himself in the lord and did not fail to enquire,and go after his enemies. We have to teach ourselves the word of God that will spring forth in our spirit on the dark days,to count our blessings and thank God through the good and bad because that is what would give us joy to last through the tough times.
Q4.HOW CAN WE BECOME MORE RESPONSIBLE STEWARDS OF THE TIMES AND SEASONS THAT WOULD HAPPEN IN OUR LIFETIME.
When we recognize our lives are in phases,and beyond every season of darkness there is light We will be able to understand that no season is a waste because everything is amounting to your becoming so the realization helps you to maximize your seasons of plenty and helps you to stay with God in hard times. The journey is as important as the destination the daily submitting and putting ourselves to his will and taking steps is how we maximize every season.Finding God in every season is what matters the most and that is how to be a responsible steward. When you realize that your life is more than just you then you become a faithful steward of your seasons.
Q5: WHEN A SUPPOSED ANSWERED PRAYER OR OPEN DOOR BECOMES A SNARE HOW CAN BELIEVES RETRACE THEIR STEPS BACK TO GOD BEFORE IT BECOMES TOO LATE.
Make sure you find God In every season,because once you find God,there is a knowing and we just have to be conscious of his presence. To the father of faith Abraham,he said GO,to Isaac,he said stay,to Jacob, he said return . Each persons have their own direction and word from God. Tho personally, I can’t give you a template,but I can tell you that when you find God ,you become aware of your state and know what to do to get to where God wants you to be . God is more intentional about bringing us out of darkened and aligning us with his will.
Q6: CAN YOU SHARE A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE ABOUT YOU WITH US THAT BEST EXPLAINS THE PHRASE “FEAR NO EVIL” AND HOW GOD HELPED YOU TO BE VICTORIOUS THROUGH THE JOURNEY .
My NYSC was a storm i encountered. During the program I was posted to one of the hottest parts of Nigeria “ Rivers state “, and because I had a revelation about it earlier I was able to cope and deal with that season.Even tho it wasn’t easy,and I couldn’t help crying everytime for some while and was confused on what to do,I stayed with God. It was during this season I encountered God , I started to journey with God and had encounters. I communed with God on a different level in that season and that season rebirthed by walk with God.
