THE MAKING OF GOD’S BATTLE AXE

Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I will help you,” says the LORD. And your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. “Behold, I will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth; you shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, and make the hills like chaff. Isaiah 41:14-15

Happy New Year! I welcome you into a new year that will usher you into the fullness of God’s plans and purposes for your life! In this new journey of the new year, it has pleased God to nourish us with a pressing desire in His Heart as we get started to journey through the year. This message is very urgent and heavy in God’s Heart; this is why we are opening the year with this series here in the Fire Place Blog. In this season, God wants us to pay attention to the subject of the making process that gives birth to what we know as “His Battle Axe” here on earth. In God’s Kingdom, men are not made, they are rather built and furnished by God Himself so they can be fit and ready for God’s special assignments here on earth. Therefore, if any man truly desires to be used by God in his generation, the person must be ready to surrender to the ageless pattern of training of God that gives birth to the rising of His special envoys here on earth. In this episode, we shall be taking a closer look into the necessary ingredients required in becoming God’s Battle Axe. Get ready for the Fire Experience!

God must train you, if He will use you for His Glory. All through the scriptures, there seems to be an invisible pattern that God kept using to single out some people that He desired to use for His assignment on earth. Scattered around the Old Testament and New Testament are giants of faith that God turned from nothingness to greatness. They were men and women that had no advantage in life in most cases, but all because they made decisions to intentionally obey the directions and leading of an invisible God, they became icons that are being studied thousands of years after they died. The next interest of God in the life of any man after salvation is a call unto discipleship and training for the purpose of impact!

In our focus passage stated above, God speaking through Prophet Isaiah in the Forty-First Chapter his prophetic account stated clearly that He is a God that is capable of turning a worm into threshing sledge! Truthfully, it is a fearful thing to think about; how can a tiny worm turn into a mighty instrument of war that will be so strong and powerful enough to thresh mountains and beat them into small chaffs? I see God stating clearly here in this passage His ability to bring out something out of nothing when giving the opportunity!

JEREMIAH 29:11AMP

Man can truly be helped by God! The bible is filled with stories of such men and women that were truly lifted supernaturally by God! Their stories keep reminding us that only if we will allow God to train us and lead our lives, there is no limit to what God will truly bring out of our lives. Here in Jeremiah 29:11 which read thus: “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”. God expressed His everlasting plan to give us a great future and a hope only if we will allow Him. Remember, God stopped making decisions for man many generations ago. The right question to ask at this point is this: “Are you willing to allow God train you and transform you from a worm into His special battle axe for His use in a time like this?”
