Welcome back to the Fire Place! We promised another episode on the new dimension we introduced earlier this week, and here we are with another inspiring experience from a seasoned believer and teacher of God’s word. Gleaning from the story of a mother is very important especially for our female readers as well as the men of valour. Let’s hear from our Minister, in her own words. Get ready for the Fire Experience!
1.My growth in God has been catalyzed by so many factors but I would share a few
A). A vibrant community of believers- I belong to vibrant and Firebrand Christian communities, my church inclusive. I have discovered that your growth in God is largely influenced by the community you associate yourself with. My Firebrand communities help me stay on track. Prayer for example needs an environment to thrive. You need a community to keep your fire because when you want to be cold, there’s someone or a group of people that would fan it to flame. We pray long hours in my church and we run an accountability system for spiritual growth. This has really helped me to grow spiritually. I didn’t start with them but I prayed myself into it. I believed God for a Firebrand community and God connected me to my tribe
You need a community to keep your fire because when you want to be cold, there’s someone or a group of people that would fan it to flame.
B) Spending time in God’s word- God’s word changes my life everyday. It’s powerful. I can’t explain it. God’s word has answers to my life’s questions. Each time I spend time with God through His word, I feel new. I really feel brand new. There’s no spiritual growth without the word of God. It is life. The word of God is powerful and sharper than any two edged sword. So spending time in God’s word as really helped me on my journey of spiritual growth
C) Pain- Pain is one tool that has helped me grow in God. Each time I experience pain, i know i have to seek God better. Pain is not caused by God but it’s a tool God can use to draw us closer to Him. The purpose of any pain is to bring us closer to God. Pain opens your eyes to see how helpless you are without God. All the painful experiences I have had in my life has grown me tremendously. The amazing things I am doing in God now is as a result of Pain. I have been through the process of pain to purpose and I shared my journey in my new book “Purposeful Pain”. It’s story of beauty for ashes, my journey of pain and finding healing and purpose in God.
Pain is not caused by God but it’s a tool God can use to draw us closer to Him.

- Well, several meetings. I am a firm believer in Christian gatherings because God is benevolent and whenever people are gathered in His name, He is always in their midst and moves mightily. I believe in encounters and I have had several encounters from different gatherings of the people of God. There is always prophecy and answers and clarity. Glory to God. Many times, the encounter even starts when you leave the venue and you find out the Holy spirit has just started with you uncovering layers and layers of revelation knowledge to you cos of one meeting
One meeting that comes to mind is the recently concluded Fireband Forerunners Bible School Graduation that I attended. The word of God came expressly to me personally and I knew I had to follow this God that is mindful of me. I had always known anyway. Different encounters with God has taught me that. That is my conviction. You can’t walk ahead or behind the person that hands you a vision, you must be in sync and in line with Him per time. So, to be in sync with Him, you must follow Him closely.
Pain opens your eyes to see how helpless you are without God.

- I grew up in a Christian home with Firebrand parents. They were also very present. I sure had difficulties but my parents already showed me the way of God and pointed me to the God that would fix my difficulties
I had difficulties with admission to university and a few failures in secondary school. This also affected my self esteem. I overcame them by immersing myself and developing a growing consciousness of who I am in Christ. That eventually changed the whole game. I began to see myself as God saw me and it didn’t matter again what was going on in my life at that time, I knew I would overcome and I eventually did to the glory of God.
I overcame my setbacks and failures by immersing myself and developing a growing consciousness of who I am in Christ.
Thank you so much for having me at Fireplace blog. I don’t take it for granted. Thank you for the amazing work you are doing for God. God bless and increase you.
