THE UNUSUAL GENERATION 1

5 Mins read

And when He had removed him, He raised up David to be their king: of him He testified and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart [conforming to My will and purposes], who will do all My will.’ – Acts 13:22 AMP

God, the creator of man, is an embodiment of unsearchable wisdom. He is a King with a domain: Heaven. He however created the earth for the sons of men to dwell, cultivate and govern according to His ordained pattern expressed in heaven. In every known civilisation of man, this has been God’s agenda again and again.

It is safe to resolve that in every generation, God has an agenda to fulfill; making His Kingdom find expression on earth, and God’s strategy of doing this is MAN. Man is God’s perfect image and representation on earth and this is why God has decided to channel all His desires and plans for every generation through man (Genesis 1:26-27).

In every generation, God is always looking out for men and women that acknowledge His sovereignty over the earth and are willing to live for a cause that is beyond their immediate, selfish and short-sighted agendas. Whenever God finds men that meet His requirement for service, His divine Presence and Power become evidently clear in the world of men being manifested by such God-driven individuals.

It is to this effect that it has pleased God to open our hearts to this ageless burden in His heart to raise an unusual generation, different from the usual generation that the world has always known. Are you interested in becoming God’s man for your day? Do you want to matter in God’s agenda for as long as you are breathing? Then, you are in the right room. Brace up for a deep journey into the heart of God!

Welcome to the Fire Place Blog where all you can expect is the Fire Experience!

In every generation, God is always looking out for men and women that acknowledge His sovereignty over the earth and are willing to live for a cause that is beyond their immediate, selfish and short-sighted agendas.

The 23rd Psalm of David describes an affirmation that gives more meaning than the average believer has been made to believe over the years. It is beyond a Psalm of protection and assurance of God’s provision. The first two verses give a clear insight into what it looks like to be taught and guided by God Himself in a proper training mode. ‘The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters.’ Psalms 23:1-2 AMP.

God is in search for people that can dwell under His divine watch for training and deployment for destiny. David revealed in this Psalm that God is not just the creator of man, He can also be the Shepherd over whoever is willing to be fed and guided by His divine principles. To be shepherded by God in this context means to receive guidance and instructions from Him.

It takes a surrendered and yielded heart willing to be instructed to embark on this unpopular journey with the Almighty.

God’s standard for enrolment into His training school is high! It takes a surrendered and yielded heart willing to be instructed to embark on this unpopular journey with the Almighty. Scattered all over the scriptures are different facts backing up this truth clearly stated by the men and women who were able to enjoy such experiences with God in their own days.

The greatest hindrance to being taught by God is the human flesh. The adamic nature of man is very stubborn and persistent in executing self will. It is not difficult to see young people around who have no clear direction about their future but rather choose to live in the moment by wasting away through flowing with the perversions of the day, such as smoking, sexual immorality, alcoholism, masturbation and so on.

God has men! They may be in hiding, under the watch of God but they still exist in their numbers!

In every generation, there is usually a prevailing sin and form of evil in the land, ravaging the souls of young people to ensure they are distracted from God’s counsel for their age. However, in the midst of this massive attack of the devil, there is usually a set of remnants that still choose to consecrate themselves for the use of God in their days. God has men! They may be in hiding, under the watch of God but they still exist in their numbers! Let no one assume the devil has caged the heart of all young people. There are still saints amongst the rising generation that are fully separated and yielded to the ways of God.

This special set of people given to the ways of God are the ones I call, the unusual generation! Their assignment is simple: making a name for God in their generation and ensuring that no matter the level of Godlessness, God’s Kingdom must find full expression in the world of men without fail! – “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we swerve is able to deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”

God is still in this business of searching for young people that He can shepherd and turn into a different and unusual generation

What was the end result of their stand against the greatest world system of their day?

Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God! Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this.” Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in the province of Babylon.”

Daniel 3:28-30.

The passage above gives a clear story of how the Three Hebrew boys took a scary stand for God in a foreign land and yet, they went scot free! Do you know why? They have stayed under the training of God long enough to understand the ways of God and ultimately becoming His Witness for their generation. God is still in this business of searching for young people that He can shepherd and turn into a different and unusual generation. Are you willing to be one?
